The Center for Health Leadership & Practice (CHLP) has designed and implemented a full range of leadership development programs and consultation activities targeted to the public and private health sectors, the community sector, and academia. We assess leadership development needs, design solutions, and implement leadership development, mentoring, coaching and succession planning, and cultural proficiency activities and programs - from targeted organizational consultation to half-day workshops and full-scale year-long programs. Coaching,Mentoring,Succession Planning

The Center's groundbreaking work with the State Health Directors Executive Mentoring program has lead to the development of our own Mentoring Guides for Mentors and Proteges (visit the guides and resources section of our website to download a copy of the guides, now available in English and Spanish). We also conduct coaching training sessions as well as mentoring and coaching workshops. We are currently offering executive coaching services and have developed a succession management strategy for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services - Public Health and for Alameda County. We have launched and are supporting ongoing mentoring programs in Los Angeles and Alameda Counties.
