   California/Hawaii Public Health Leadership Institute
   The CHPHLI is a year-long, cohort-based, intensive leadership development program focused on increasing the participants¿ leadership knowledge, skills, and commitment to leading and managing change, developing organizational capacity, creating strategies, and building partnerships that will contribute to eliminating health inequities and promoting healthy communities in healthy environments. The Institute is targeted to senior leaders in public health organizations in California and Hawaii who are sponsored to design and lead internal organizational change and to build strong partnerships with community organizations and other partners. The first cohort of 30-40 leaders will begin the Institute in January, 2009.

   Los Angeles Public Health Acute Communicable Disease Control (ACDC) Best Practices
   The purpose of this project is to assess "best practices" in acute communicable disease control programs in comparable sized public health departments, to assess the current structure and organization of the Los Angeles Public Health Acute Communicable Disease Control Program, to make recommendations based on this review, and to assist in leading organizational changes that need to take place.
    
   Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Org.- Cultural Proficiency Training for Health Professionals

   Los Angeles Public Health Leadership Institute (LAPHLI)
   The Los Angeles Public Health Leadership Institute (LAPHLI) is a partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services - Public Health. Three cohorts of thirty senior managers each have participated. A fourth cohort was launched in the Fall of 2004. Special emphases of the program include intra-organizational collaboration, collaborative leadership and the development of a coaching culture. An alumni group, the Los Angeles Leadership Forum, has been formed to promote ongoing dissemination within the organization. A succession planning initiative will provide a basis for ongoing leadership development activities in the department.
    
   Women's Health Leadership
   Lead by the Center for Collaborative Planning, assisted with the design and development of this state-wide program targeted to the development and sustenance of emerging women community health leaders.
    
   California Medical Association Foundation - Consultation
   The Center developed and conducted interviews with community-oriented physician leaders in California and developed their stories into a profile book. The profiles are used in training physicians and medical societies in participating in community health collaboratives and initiatives.
    
   Leadership for the 21st Century - Alameda County Health Department
   The Alameda County Health Department has contracted with the Center for Health Leadership and Practice to design and deliver a comprehensive leadership development and organizational change strategy with assessment, training and coaching components.
